...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN PLUMAS...EASTERN
TEHAMA...NORTH CENTRAL BUTTE AND SOUTHEASTERN SHASTA COUNTIES THROUGH
115 PM PDT...

At 1240 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 8 miles west of Butte Meadows, or 21 miles south of
Mineral, moving north at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Mineral, Shingletown, Mill Creek, De Sabla Powerhouse, Manton, Forest
Ranch, Lovelock, Butte Meadows, Lyonsville, Lassen National Park, and
Magalia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
