.DISCUSSION...

Critical fire weather conditions will return to West Central
Texas for this afternoon and Tuesday. Humidity values will fall
under 20 percent area wide this afternoon. South winds will
increase to around 20 mph with gusts as high as 30 MPH along and
west of an Abilene to San Angelo to Ozona line. A Red Flag Warning
has been issued for these locations. Additionally, a Fire Danger
Statement has been issued for areas east of those locations.
Conditions in these areas will need to be closely monitored.

Critical fire weather conditions are likely again on Tuesday,
mainly across the northern and western portions of the Big
Country. Although slightly better low level moisture will move
into much of the area, a dryline will move into the western Big
Country and Concho Valley and allow humidity values to drop once
again. A Fire Weather Watch and/or Red Flag Warning will be needed
once the main area of concern can be a little better defined.

It may take until Thursday before significant low level moisture
returns to West Central Texas. A chance for showers and
thunderstorms returns to our region for Thursday and Friday.
