High pressure will be in control of our weather today providing
plenty of sunshine and a mild afternoon. Winds will generally be
out of the south at 10 to 20 mph with some higher gusts.

Low pressure approaching from the southwest will bring a soaking
rain to the region late tonight and Wednesday with localized heavy
downpours. Winds will be southeasterly at 10 to 20 mph, with higher
gusts especially along the coasts. Rainfall amounts of 0.50 to 1.50
inches can be expected.

Dry and seasonable conditions are on tap for Thursday.

Area main stem river levels will show slight rises over the next
24 to 48 hours.

These forecasts include 24 hour precipitation for the period ending
at 7 am today, and forecast precipitation through 7 am tomorrow.
