Fire Weather Planning Forecast for northern Lower Michigan

...Elevated Fire Danger today...

.DISCUSSION...High pressure will move away from lower Michigan
today. Southwest winds increase today, and gusts of 25 to 30 mph
will be common this afternoon and early evening. Temperatures
will be warmer than yesterday, with 60s in most of northern lower
Michigan. Relative humidity will bottom out at around 20 percent
in much of the area late this afternoon.

Clouds will increase this evening, and a band of rain showers
will cross northern lower Michigan tonight. Rainfall amounts of
between 0.10" and 0.30" are expected. There may be a lull in
shower activity Tuesday morning, but additional showers and
perhaps a thunderstorm are expected in the afternoon and evening.
Southwest winds will remain breezy tonight, and become west on
Tuesday.
