Issued at 433 AM CDT Mon Apr 15 2024

Critical fire weather conditions are expected to develop by noon,
continuing through 8 PM today, resulting in very high to extreme
fire danger. Expect easterly winds to become more east-
southeasterly by noon, with gusts between 25 to 35 MPH possible
through sunset. Will then see gusts strengthen even more during
the overnight period, with values ranging between 30 to 40 MPH.
Otherwise, look for highs in the 70s and dewpoints in the lower
30s to prevail today, causing minimum relative humidity values to
fall into the lower 20s to upper teens this afternoon.
