The following forecasts are for rivers in Southwest Lower Michigan...

For the Grand River At Jackson... the latest stage was 13.1 feet at 9
AM Wednesday. No flooding is forecast. The river has fallen 0.3
feet in the past 24 hours.  Flood stage is 14.0 feet.  At 13.0
feet... River is bankfull. River begins to flow into low lying
areas.

For the Grand River At Eaton Rapids... the latest stage was 4.8 feet
at 8 AM Wednesday. No flooding is forecast. The river has fallen 0.2
feet in the past 24 hours.  Flood stage is 6.0 feet.  At 5.0 feet...
River is bankfull. Expect minor overflow into low lying areas.

For the Grand River At Lansing... the latest stage was 10.5 feet at
10 AM Wednesday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 10.6 feet this afternoon.  Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
At 11.0 feet... Expect minor flooding of low lying areas and parks..

For the Sycamore Creek At Holt... the latest stage was 7.9 feet at 6
AM Wednesday. No flooding is forecast. The river has fallen 0.2 feet
in the past 24 hours.  Flood stage is 8.0 feet.  At 8.0 feet...
Expect minor flooding of low lying areas adjacent to the river, in
the Lansing Municipal Golf Course and sections of East Mt. Hope
Road.

For the Red Cedar River Above Williamston... the latest stage was 6.9
feet at 10 AM Wednesday.   No flooding is forecast.  The river has
fallen 0.2 feet in the past 24 hours.  Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

For the Red Cedar River At East Lansing... the latest stage was 6.7
feet at 9 AM Wednesday. No flooding is forecast. The river has
remained steady for the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 7.0 feet. At
7.0 feet... Expect minor flooding of low lying areas, adjacent parks,
and farmland.

For the Looking Glass River Near Eagle... the latest stage was 4.8
feet at 10 AM Wednesday. No flooding is forecast. The river has
fallen 0.2 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

For the Thornapple River Above Hastings... the latest stage was 6.8
feet at 10 AM Wednesday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecast is 6.9 feet this evening.  Flood stage is 7.0 feet. At 7.0
feet... Expect minor flooding of Tyden Park in Hastings, and
homes upstream and downstream of Hastings.

For the Kalamazoo River At Marshall... the latest stage was 6.6 feet
at 10 AM Wednesday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 6.6 feet this afternoon.  Flood stage is 8.0 feet.  At
6.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect minor flooding of farmland and
pastures adjacent to the river.

For the Kalamazoo River At Comstock... the latest stage was 8.3 feet
at 10 AM Wednesday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 8.9 feet after midnight tonight.  Flood stage is 9.0
feet.  At 9.0 feet... Expect minor flooding of low lying areas, the
park in Comstock, and residential areas along Portage Creek, near
Gull Street and the Recreation Park.

For the Kalamazoo River Near New Richmond... the latest stage was
15.8 feet at 10 AM Wednesday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum
stage forecasted is 16.0 feet this evening.  Flood stage is 17.0
feet.  At 17.0 feet... Expect minor flooding of low lying areas and
farmland along the river.  Boardwalk along the river and boat launch
would be flooded.

For the St Joseph River At Burlington... the latest stage was 6.2
feet at 10 AM Wednesday. No flooding is forecast. The river has
remained steady for the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 6.5 feet. At
6.0 feet... River is bankfull, minor overflow into low lying wooded
areas along the river begins.

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
