The following forecasts are for rivers in southwest Lower
Michigan...

For the Muskegon River At Newaygo... the latest stage was 11.0 feet
at 2 PM Sunday. No flooding is forecast. The river has fallen 0.0
feet in the past 24 hours.  Flood stage is 11.0 feet.  At 11.0
feet... The river starts exceeding its banks and minor flooding
begins in low lying areas along the river.

For the Grand River Near Comstock Park... the latest stage was 9.4
feet at 2 PM Sunday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecast is 11.7 feet Friday morning.  Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
At 12.0 feet... Expect minor flooding of homes along Abrigador
Trail.

For the Grand River At Grand Rapids... the latest stage was 6.9 feet
at 2 PM Sunday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage forecast
is 12.6 feet Friday early afternoon. Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

For the Grand River At Robinson Township... the latest stage was 11.2
feet at 8 AM Sunday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecast is 12.6 feet Friday evening. Flood stage is 13.3 feet.
At 13.0 feet... River is bankfull.

For the Red Cedar River Above Williamston... the latest stage was 5.6
feet at 2 PM Sunday. No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecast is 7.3 feet early Wednesday morning.  Flood stage is 9.0
feet.  At 7.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow begins in low lying
areas adjacent to the river.

For the Red Cedar River At East Lansing... the latest stage was 5.2
feet at 1 PM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 6.1 feet Tuesday evening.  Flood stage is 7.0 feet.  At
6.0 feet... River reaches bankfull and low lying areas flood.

For the Portage River Near Vicksburg... the latest stage was
estimated at 4.7 feet at 8 PM Saturday. No flooding is forecast.  The
maximum stage forecasted is 4.9 feet tomorrow morning.  Flood stage
is 5.0 feet.  At 5.0 feet... Expect overflows into wooded areas and
farmland adjacent to the river.

For the Pere Marquette River Near Scottville... the latest stage was
3.7 feet at 2 PM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum
stage forecasted is 4.1 feet tomorrow evening.  Flood stage is 5.5
feet.  At 4.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow of low lying areas
adjacent to the river occurs..

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
