...Water levels are forecast to rise near or possibly above bankfull
over the next several days...

For the following rivers:
Grand River at Grand Rapids...
Kalamazoo River at Comstock...
Pere Marquette River at Scottville...
Muskegon River at Newaygo...
Chippewa River at Mt Pleasant...

.Following the heavy mixed precipitation of the past weekend, water
levels will be approaching bankfull over the next several days. The
following forecast is based on observed and forecast 24 hour
precipitation, as well as predicted melting of the snowpack in
central Lower Michigan over the next week.

For the Grand River At Grand Rapids... the latest stage was 10.2 feet
at 1 PM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The maximum
stage forecasted is 12.9 feet Saturday early afternoon. Bankfull is
at 12.0 feet. Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

For the Kalamazoo River At Comstock... the latest stage was 6.8 feet
at 1 PM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The maximum
stage forecasted is 7.1 feet this evening. Bankfull is at 7.0 feet.
Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

For the Pere Marquette River Near Scottville... the latest stage was
3.8 feet at 1 PM Wednesday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum
stage forecasted is 3.9 feet Tuesday evening. Bankfull is at 4.0
feet. Flood stage is 5.5 feet.

For the Muskegon River At Newaygo... the latest stage was 10.0 feet
at 1 PM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The maximum
stage forecasted is 10.2 feet Tuesday evening. Bankfull is at 10.2
feet. Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

For the Chippewa River Below Mt Pleasant... the latest stage was 5.3
feet at 1 PM Wednesday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecasted is 6.0 feet Friday evening. Bankfull is at 6.0 feet.
Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
