.Rainfall tonight and Tuesday will allow water levels on Sycamore Creek
and the Portage River to rise to near bankfull. This may allow water to
pond in low-lying areas along these rivers, but impacts will be very limited.
The following forecast is based on observed and forecast 48 hour
precipitation.

For the Sycamore Creek At Holt... no observed stage was available.
No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted is 6.5 feet
early Wednesday morning.  Flood stage is 8.0 feet.  At 6.0 feet...
Flooding begins in low lying areas along the creek and at the Lansing
Municipal Golf Course and Scott Woods Park..

For the Portage River Near Vicksburg... the latest stage was 4.6 feet
at 2 PM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 4.8 feet early Wednesday morning.  Flood stage is 5.0
feet.  At 5.0 feet... Expect overflows into wooded areas and farmland
adjacent to the river..

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
