The following forecasts are for rivers in Southwest Lower
Michigan...

For the Grand River Near Comstock Park... the latest stage was 9.7
feet at 7 AM Monday. No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecast is 11.2 feet Thursday evening. Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
At 11.0 feet... River is bankfull.

For the Grand River At Grand Rapids... the latest stage was 8.1 feet
at 11 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecast is 12.8 feet Friday evening.  Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

For the Grand River At Robinson Township... the latest stage was 11.8
feet at 9 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecast is 12.9 feet Friday early afternoon.  Flood stage is 13.3
feet.  At 13.0 feet... River is bankfull.

For the Red Cedar River Above Williamston... the latest stage was 6.4
feet at 10 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecast is 7.1 feet Wednesday morning.  Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
At 7.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow begins in low lying areas
adjacent to the river.

For the Red Cedar River At East Lansing... the latest stage was 5.9
feet at 10 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecast is 6.4 feet tomorrow evening.  Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
At 6.0 feet... River reaches bankfull and low lying areas flood.

For the Portage River Near Vicksburg... the latest stage was 4.9 feet
at 7 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecast is 4.9 feet this afternoon.  Flood stage is 5.0 feet.  At
5.0 feet... Expect overflows into wooded areas and farmland adjacent
to the river.

For the Pere Marquette River Near Scottville... the latest stage was
4.0 feet at 11 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum
stage forecast is 4.3 feet tomorrow evening.  Flood stage is 5.5
feet.  At 4.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow of low lying areas
adjacent to the river occurs.

For the Muskegon River at Bridgeton... the latest stage was 12.1 feet
at 11 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecast is 12.4 feet Friday early afternoon.  Flood stage is 13.0
feet.  At 12.0 feet... The river is bankfull.

For the Muskegon River At Evart... the latest stage was 9.8 feet at
10 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecast is 10.2 feet Sunday early afternoon.  Flood stage is 12.0
feet.  At 10.0 feet... River is bankfull.

For the Muskegon River At Newaygo... the latest stage was 10.3 feet
at 11 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecast is 10.4 feet Thursday early afternoon.  Flood stage is
11.0 feet.  At 10.0 feet... River is bankfull.  River begins to
exceed its banks and minor flooding begins in low lying areas along
the river.

For the Muskegon River Near Croton... the latest stage was 7.7 feet
at 10 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 7.9 feet Thursday early afternoon.  Flood stage is 9.0
feet.  At 8.0 feet... River is bankfull. River begins to exceed its
banks and minor flooding begins in low lying areas along the river.

For the Chippewa River Below Mt Pleasant... the latest stage was 5.8
feet at 10 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 6.3 feet Friday early afternoon.  Flood stage is 8.0
feet.  At 6.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect minor flooding of low
lying areas adjacent to the river including portions of the Mount
Pleasant Country Club Golf Course.

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
