This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms will gradually shift east this morning.
There could be a few strong to severe storms with up to quarter
sized hail and 60 mph winds. A tornado cannot be ruled out.

Strong west to southwest winds gusting up to around 40 mph will
fuel very high grassland fire danger this afternoon for areas
mainly west of a Salina to Hutchinson to Kingman line. Gusty winds
will blow around unsecured objects and could make driving
challenging for high profile vehicles.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon in north central
Kansas. Small hail and gusty winds to 50 mph will be possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

There is another chance for strong to severe storms Wednesday night
into Thursday across portions of north central, south central and
southeast Kansas. A slight chance of thunderstorms is forecast for
late Monday night. Check later outlooks for more details.

Very high fire danger is possible for a few areas in south central
Kansas on Thursday.

Patchy to areas frost are possible on Sunday morning mainly in north
central Kansas.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed this morning in portions of southeast
Kansas.
