...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT RUSSELL AND NORTHERN BARTON
COUNTIES THROUGH 1145 PM CDT...

At 1039 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles south of Zurich to
near Hargrave. Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Russell, Wilson, Claflin, Lucas, Gorham, Luray, Dorrance, Milberger,
Bunker Hill, Paradise, Galatia, Susank, Waldo, Russell Airport,
Wilson State Park, Wilson Lake, and Odin.

This includes Interstate 70 between Mile Markers 175 and 205.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
central Kansas.
