A cold front will continue to push through the state to begin the
period bringing the chance for showers and thunderstorms through the
early morning hours Friday. The front is expected to stall just to
the south of the CWA keeping an unsettled weather pattern in place
through the weekend. An upper level trough will dive down from the
Central Plains Saturday bringing an additional round of widespread
rain to the state...highest QPF amounts are expected to be across
southern AR. The chance for severe weather on Saturday is low at
this time.
By late Sunday...the trough will continue to slide east as high
pressure slides back over the area. This will promote calm and dry
conditions into early next week.
Temperatures are expected to be warmest Friday with highs in the mid
to upper 60s and overnight lows in the mid 40s to mid 50s. With the
chance for increased cloud cover and rain showers, temperatures will
be cooler Saturday with highs in the mid 50s to lower 60s and
overnight lows in the 40s.

To begin the period, rain and storms will be located across
southeastern Arkansas as the unsettled weather in the short term
finally comes to an end across the state Sunday night. By
Monday...high pressure begins to move back into the state...bringing
back those calm and dry conditions. An additional round of unsettled
weather will return to the state by the middle of next week.
Temperatures are expected to be coolest to begin the period before
warming early next week. High temperatures Sunday are expected to
be in the upper 50s to mid 60s with overnight lows in the upper
30s to mid 40s. By early next week, highs will begin to warm into
the lower 70s to lower 80s with overnight lows in the lower 50s to
lower 60s.

Cold front has cleared all but southern parts of the state this
morning with only a few scattered showers remaining in its wake.
MVFR and lower cigs will persist through at least the morning
hours with the southern half of the state potentially seeing a
longer period with low clouds. Some improvement is likely from
this afternoon into the overnight before precip moves in from SW
to NE near the end of the period. Winds behind the front are out
of the north, becoming more Erly later today. Highest speeds,
including gusts to 20 kts are likely through the morning hours
before relaxing later in the period.
