Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
225 AM CDT Tue Mar 26 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather looks to take a bit of a break much of this week as
strong winds of late finally decrease. We have not seen any new
fire starts with the critical fire weather the last couple of days
and this was likely due to near to above normal fuel moisture. We
expect elevated fire weather conditions much of this week due
mainly to low RH, but temperatures will be on the upswing rising
to above normal values by the weekend. This will begin to dry the
fuels and by this weekend we could see near critical to critical
fire weather conditions as our next storm system approaches.
