.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

...HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS AT ALL LOCAL BEACHES...

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move in with multiple
rounds continuing through Tuesday night. Some storms may be strong to
severe with gusty winds, hail, and possible tornadoes/waterspouts.
Hazardous beach conditions are expected today with surf heights of 2-3
feet this afternoon, and remaining elevated through much of the week.
As a result, there will be a high risk for rip currents for all
panhandle beaches.

Based on communication with area beach officials, the following flags
are flying at area beaches:

Bay...........................RED
State Park Gulf Beaches.......DOUBLE RED
West Facing Gulf Beaches......RED
South Facing Gulf Beaches.....RED
Franklin......................RED
