This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southeast New
Mexico, southwest Texas and western Texas.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Elevated fire weather conditions will continue this afternoon across
most areas. Thunderstorms may affect portions of Southeast New Mexico
and south through the Presidio Valley and Big Bend through this
evening. Any thunderstorm will be capable of producing strong and
erratic winds and dry lightning is definitely a concern for new fire
starts across these areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

Strong winds are expected in the Guadalupe Mountains this evening
through Friday evening. A High Wind Warning is in effect for this
area.

Thunderstorms will be possible Friday afternoon through Friday
night, mainly across the Permian Basin and south through the Lower
Trans Pecos. Some of the storms could be strong to severe,
potentially producing large hail, damaging winds, and locally heavy
rainfall.

Critical to extreme fire weather conditions will return Friday
across Southeast New Mexico and south through the Davis
Mountains/Marfa Plateau. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for these
areas.
