Offshore Waters Forecast for Hawaii

Hawaiian offshore waters beyond 40 nautical miles out to 240
nautical miles including the portion of the Papahanaumokuakea
Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height
of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than
twice the significant wave height.

.Synopsis for the Hawaiian offshore waters...
Strong high pressure will persist far N of the area through the
day, then weaken Wednesday and Thursday as a front develops to the
NW. The front will move across the NW waters Friday and continue
to central and eastern waters Saturday.

.FRIDAY...Front moving across NW waters. W of front, NW to N
winds 15 to 20 kt. E of front N of 20N, SE to S winds 15 to 20 kt.
Elsewhere, E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 6 to 8 ft, becoming 6
to 12 ft Friday night, highest NW.
.SATURDAY...Front moving across central waters. W of front N of
22N, W to NW winds 15 to 30 kt, strongest N of 24N. Elsewhere W of
front, N to NE winds 10 to 20 kt. E of front, SE to S winds 15 kt
or less. Seas 6 to 16 ft, highest NW.
