...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN MCDOWELL...
NORTHEASTERN BUNCOMBE AND SOUTHEASTERN YANCEY COUNTIES THROUGH 215 PM
EDT...

At 139 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles west of Marion, or 4 miles southwest of B.R. Parkway-Craggy To
Little Switzerland, moving east at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Marion, Old Fort, B.R. Parkway-Craggy To Little Switzerland, Black
Mountain, Mount Mitchell State Park, Montreat, Sugar Hill, Busick,
Pleasant Gardens, and Woodlawn.
