...STRONG WAKE LOW WINDS OVER THE WATERS...

  Waters from High Island to Freeport TX from 20 to 60 NM...

At 841 AM CDT, strong winds were measured along the coast from a
wake low, which has developed behind a cluster of shower and storms
located over High Island A179, moving east at 30 knots. Automated
stations along the coast reported strong wind gusts around 20 to 30
knots with some isolated higher gusts. One site measured gusts up to
38 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 20 to 30 knots, isolated
higher gusts to around 35 knots and locally higher waves. Boaters
should remain in safe harbor to allow these elevated winds to
subside.
