.DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms will periodically impact northern New
Mexico today into the evening hours as a larger low pressure system
moves across the Four Corners region and into eastern Colorado.
Individual showers and thunderstorms will be brief-lived, moving
quickly to the east at 20 to 30 mph with total rainfall ranging
between a few hundredths of an inch to 0.30" by evening. Prevailing
winds will be breezy with gusts to near 25 mph from the west
southwest, turning more from the west by the afternoon. Any passing
shower or thunderstorm will be capable of producing cloud-to-ground
lightning and brief erratic and stronger wind gusts. A few lingering
light showers will be possible Sunday, mainly in the afternoon. Drier
and warmer conditions are expected through the remainder of the first
half of next week.
