Offshore waters forecast for Gulf of Alaska east of 144W

Wind forecasts reflect the predominant speed and direction
expected. Sea forecasts represent the average of the highest
one-third of the combined windwave and swell height.

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE EASTERN GULF OF ALASKA...
Weak surface lows continue to develop and meander around the Gulf
of Alaska Thursday morning along a stalled front as an upper
level low moves overhead. Brief surface ridging moves in Thursday
evening. Predominately westerly winds through the weekend in the
Gulf with another approaching front on Friday with unsettled
weather expected through the weekend. As front approaches Friday,
southerly winds will increase through the inner channels,
strongest winds near Small Craft criteria expected within the Lynn
Canal south to Chatham Strait.
