This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Late-season winter storm continues today. Precipitation may mix
with or change from snow to sleet or freezing rain and then over
to rain as temperatures warm later today. Strong and gusty
northeast winds along the North Shore may produce a period of
blizzard conditions from around 3 pm until 8 pm. Waves of heavier
snow will lift northward today and tonight with visibility as low
as 1/4 mile in heavy snow. Roads will be snow or ice covered and
slippery. Localized power outages are possible tonight as wind
speeds and gusts increase.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Wintry mixed precipitation will persist through Tuesday night.
Light snow showers are forecast after the system departs for
Wednesday perhaps into Thursday with additional minor accumulation
possible during those times.

Another wintry system may bring light snow to the region Friday
night through early Sunday morning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Snow spotters are requested to report precipitation type, and
measurements of snow or ice accumulations to the National Weather
Service. Spotters and the public can also report precipitation
type with the free M-PING smartphone app.

For the month of March we are actively recruiting for CoCoRaHS,
the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow network. If you
would like to volunteer to become a regular reporter of rain hail
and snow, please visit https://www.cocorahs.org for more
information.
