.DISCUSSION...
Hot temperatures and low dewpoints will drop minimum humidity levels
as low as 7 to 15 percent across portions of the southern Edwards
Plateau and Rio Grande Plains this afternoon. Elevated fire weather
conditions are possible with wind gusts of 10 to 20 mph. A cold
front will bring northerly winds and the beginning of a cooling
trend by Friday. The cooler temperatures will continue through the
weekend. Then warmer temperatures are expected next week. There will
be varying chances for wetting rains across the region from this
afternoon through the next several days with the greatest chances on
Sunday through Monday.
