...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of Cherokee,
southeastern Gordon, southwestern Pickens and northeastern Bartow
Counties through 600 AM EDT...

At 530 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over White, or 9 miles north
of Cartersville, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...40 mph wind and heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
         street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Locations impacted include...
Canton, Cartersville, Jasper, Holly Springs, Adairsville, Emerson,
Ball Ground, Nelson, White, Waleska, Cassville, Buffington,
Fairmount, Hickory Flat, Red Top Mountain State Park, Folsom,
Talmadge, Tate, Funkhouser, and Hinton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. Motorists should
slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.
