.DISCUSSION...
KEY MESSAGES:

- Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the higher
elevations of the Little Rocky Mountains in southwest Phillips
  County through 4 PM Friday.

- Northwest winds are expected to diminish this evening. A Lake
Wind Advisory for Fort Peck Lake is effect until 8 PM.

- Nighttime temperatures will drop below freezing in many areas
  tonight and Friday night.

- Another round of rain is expected early next week, starting
late Sunday. Some places could receive two inches by Wednesday.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:
The upper low over the Sask/Montana border will drift east and
finally drift into Ontario Friday. A short term upper ridge will
then move in bringing in drying Friday with a warming trend into
Sunday.

The next system moves in Sunday from the central Rockies and
intensify as it moves into the northern Plains Monday. This system
looks to stall over the Dakotas Monday Night and not move out till
the end of the week.

In the meantime, rain and snow will linger over the northeast
zones later tonight. Snow amounts look to stay below advisory
criteria. Conditions will improve Friday with slightly warmer
temperatures, lighter winds and scattered mainly rain showers.
