East winds have diminished early this morning. Winds will turn
northwest by afternoon and increase with gusty winds expected
through Tuesday evening. Choppy conditions are expected along the
Dry Arm of Fort Peck Lake, so stay near and around protected areas.

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO MIDNIGHT
MDT TUESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...West winds 30 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected.

* WHERE...Central and Southeast Phillips, Central and Southern
  Valley, Garfield, Petroleum, and Southwest Phillips Counties.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to midnight MDT Tuesday Night.

* IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property, and
  cause power bumps. Travel could be difficult, especially for high
  profile vehicles. Strong to high winds could generate large waves
  on Fort Peck Lake which could swamp or tip small craft.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must
drive.

If venturing onto Fort Peck Lake, stay near and around protected
areas in order to avoid water craft tipping.
