.SYNOPSIS...
Issued at 255 AM CDT Wed Mar 27 2024

Mild and dry conditions will prevail through the Easter weekend
as high pressure dominates the region. A warming trend will begin
on Thursday and continue through Monday as temperatures approach
80 degrees on Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will move into the
Mid-South ahead of a cold front starting Monday night and
continuing into Tuesday.

Skies are mostly clear across the Mid-South with temperatures
ranging from the upper 30s to mid 40s. Currently, a large area of
high pressure covers much of the Plains states.

With the high to our west today, north winds will keep dry and
cool weather across the region. Temperatures will be about 5 to
10 degrees below normal with highs this afternoon in the upper 50s
to mid 60s. Tonight will be another chilly night across the
region with lows Thursday morning in the mid to upper 30s. Some
areas of frost are possible across the region and another Frost
Advisory may be needed.

By Thursday, winds will shift to the west bringing the start of a
warming trend to the region with highs in the mid 60s. The warming
trend will continue through the weekend and into Monday as highs
approach 80 degrees.

A cold front will move into the region on Monday night and
Tuesday. A few thunderstorms may reach northern sections of the
region on Monday but will become more widespread for Monday night
through Tuesday.

No TAF concerns this issuance. VFR conditions will remain across
the airspace as high pressure continues to build east. North winds
are expected to pick up to around 9 kts tomorrow morning. Winds
then look to shift northeast at 3-6 kts around 00Z across all
terminals.
