...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL ANSON...SOUTH CENTRAL
MONTGOMERY...NORTHWESTERN RICHMOND AND SOUTHEASTERN STANLY COUNTIES
THROUGH 330 PM EDT...

At 238 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Ansonville, or 11 miles north of Wadesboro, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ansonville, Covington, and Blewett Falls Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
central North Carolina.
