DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms will spread into eastern Oklahoma
through the rest of the evening and overnight hours, with a few
strong to severe storms possible, mainly across southeast Oklahoma
late tonight. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main
threat, along with heavy rainfall as storms move over the same
areas. Weakening instability with eastward and northward extent
will limit the severe threat across other parts of the area, but
some small hail will still be possible with the strongest storms
across northeast Oklahoma. Gusty southeast to southerly winds
will also continue ahead of a cold front that will move through
the region tomorrow.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...High Wind Potential...Heavy Rain Potential.
TUESDAY...High Wind Potential.
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY...No Hazards.
FRIDAY...Very High Fire Weather Potential...High Wind Potential.
SATURDAY...High Wind Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty southerly winds will all
be ongoing Monday morning. The heavy rainfall and thunderstorm
activity will continue to spread eastward through the day, with
drier weather anticipated Monday night. A cold front will push
through the area Monday evening and cause abnormally cooler
weather into the middle part of the upcoming week. Freezing
temperatures are likely Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning for
portions of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Otherwise,
tranquil weather will prevail Tuesday and Wednesday. Breezy and
gusty winds will develop ahead of another storm system on Thursday
and Friday.
