FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
525 AM EDT Thu Apr 26 2018

...Breezy mild and dry today with an elevated wildfire risk...

.DISCUSSION:
Gusty west to northwest winds to 20-25 mph ahead of a cold front
combined with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s and RH values
of 20-25 percent will result in an elevated risk of wildfires
today over south central Upper Michigan. A cold front will sweep
through the area late this afternoon, shifting winds to the north
northwest with gusty conditions near Lake Superior. Scattered
light rain showers will accompany the front but rainfall amounts
will be light, less than 0.05 inch. More cool weather is expected
Fri and Sat behind the front. Another round of light rain or snow
is also possible Friday, but then the weather becomes much warmer
and drier by early next week.
