...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
 Northern Biscayne Bay...
 Coastal waters from Dania Beach to Cutler Ridge FL out 20 NM...

At 952 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 9 nm east of Sunny Isles to near
Soldier Key, moving west at 10 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Sunny Isles, Key Biscayne, Hallandale, Cape Florida, Virginia Key,
Hollywood, Bay Harbor Islands, Miami Beach, Bal Harbour, Golden
Beach, Surfside, Coral Gables, North Bay Village, Indian Creek and
Fort Lauderdale.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

Report severe weather to the coast guard or nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
forecast office.

Waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on the alert in
case warnings are issued for waterspout development.
