...NWS DAMAGE SURVEYS FOR 04/22/2018 SEVERE EVENT...

...UPDATED FOR MONTGOMERY AND BARBOUR COUNTIES..

.OVERVIEW...

A low pressure system moved northeastward across Central Alabama. A
warm front moved northward in response to this system and ushered in
unstable air near the warm front. Rotating storms developed and may
have produced tornadoes. Several tornado videos were received from
storms to our south and some of these storms made it into Central
Alabama.


.TORNADO #1 Philadelphia Church Road Tornado
(Montgomery County)...

The survey team has found an EF-0 tornado in southwest Montgomery
County with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph. Additional information
about this tornado will be made available later today.

Barbour County: The survey team found no damage.
