URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE

...Dry cold front passing through Idaho Saturday evening...

.A dry cold front is expected to pass through central and
southern Idaho, possibly as early as Satuday afternoon, but
more like Saturday night some time. Before the cold front
arrives, it should increase the wind, warm temperatures, and, as
a result, lower humidity. Winds in the higher elevations of the
Salmon-Challis NF, the northern portion of the Sawtooth NF, and
the Caribou NF, may have winds gusting in excess of 25 mph, and
humidity below 15 percent on Saturday afternoon.

SATURDAY EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR
FIRE WEATHER ZONE 413 ABOVE 6500 FEET ELEVATION...

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for gusty winds and low relative humidity, which is
in effect from Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 413 Caribou Range/Caribou NF
  at elevations above 6500 feet.

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 9 percent.

* IMPACTS...These weather conditions, combined with extremely dry
  and receptive fuels, can mean rapid spread rates, high fire
  intensity, and produce extreme fire behavior such as fire
  whirls.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.

  Sawtooth NF and Fire Weather Zone 476 Lemhi and Lost River

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 11 percent.

* IMPACTS...These weather conditions, combined with extremely dry
  and receptive fuels, can mean rapid spread rates, high fire
  intensity, and produce extreme fire behavior such as fire
  whirls.
