Day 2 Fire Weather Outlook

...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

...Synopsis...
Fire weather concerns will be low on Friday. A cold front will shift
southward late D1 Thursday into D2 Friday, bringing much cooler
temperatures. Widespread precipitation is expected across much of
the Southern Plains, which should increase fuel moisture and help
mitigate fire weather concerns further.

Ahead of a cold front moving southward out of Canada, some brief
elevated fire weather conditions will be possible across portions of
northern South Dakota. Fuels within this region have experienced
drying, with little precipitation in the last 7-14 days. Given the
short duration of elevated conditions before the frontal passage, no
areas were included at this time.
