URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE

...CRITICAL TO EXTREME FIRE CONDITIONS EXPECTED MONDAY...

.A classic critical fire weather pattern sets up over the next
few days. Warm and dry high pressure will transition to deep
southwest flow on Sunday ahead of an approaching and passing
Pacific storm system on Monday. This will warm and dry the
environment and the fuels ahead of a strong wind event on Monday.
Strong southwest winds gusting to 60 mph combined with minimum
relative humidities in the single digits will lead to extremely
critical fire weather conditions late Monday morning into the
evening.

MONDAY FOR STRONG WINDS AND VERY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE
WEATHER ZONES 055, 056, 111, 112, AND 113...

* WIND...West to southwest at 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph.

* HUMIDITY...4 to 15 percent.

* EXPERIMENTAL RFTI...6-8 Critical to Extreme in New Mexico. 7-
  8 Critical to Extreme in Far West Texas

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
