Periods of rain and perhaps a few thunderstorms will spread across the area today and tonight. Severe weather is not expected, but pockets of moderate to heavy rainfall could produce rain amounts in excess of an inch. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible Tuesday. If stronger storms develop, isolated large hail would be the primary threat. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Periods of showers and scattered thunderstorms will develop across the area today, diminishing tonight. The risk of severe weather is low, but a stronger storm may be capable of producing hail up to quarter size during the late afternoon or evening. This threat is focused in areas toward Ida Grove to Storm Lake. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. Scattered thunderstorms are expected Tuesday as a cool front moves through the area. A few strong to severe storms are possible, with a Level 2 of 5 risk for severe weather. Large hail would be the primary threat, though isolated damaging winds or a brief tornado are also possible. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time. $$
