...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM HST THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE
ISLAND OF KAUAI IN KAUAI COUNTY...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.

* WHERE...The island of Kauai in Kauai County.

* WHEN...Until 500 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 141 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain moving over Kauai,
    and was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Area
    streams will remain elevated, and may rise with additional
    rainfall.
  - This advisory is for the entire island of Kauai.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.

A Flood Watch is also in effect until 6 am HST Monday.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 500 PM HST if flooding
persists.

This Flood Advisory replaces the previously issued Flash Flood
Warning that was in effect for The island of Kauai in Kauai County.
