.DISCUSSION...
Winds will start out light and variable this morning before
becoming southwest and increasing to 10-15 mph. The lighter winds
will produce slightly less favorable ventilation rates today than
yesterday, but drier fuels are expected due to windy conditions
yesterday. A brief sprinkle could occur this afternoon mainly
northwest of the Illinois River but most areas should remain dry
today. Widespread rain and isolated thunder return on Monday.
Many locations will see an inch of total rainfall by the time rain
diminishes late Tuesday.
