FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Winds are expected to turn northerly late this afternoon as low
pressure averaging 30.0 inches passes by south of the lake. High
pressure of 30.3 inches will nose into the area tomorrow, bringing
a period of quiet weather.

Winds then start to increase from the southeast late Saturday
night and Sunday, as low pressure of 29.2 inches deepens over
eastern Colorado. That low will lift northeastward to northern
Iowa by Monday night, and then Lake Superior on Tuesday, while
weakening to 29.4 inches. Near gale force south to southeast
winds are likely Monday and Tuesday as the low lifts
northeastward.

.SATURDAY NIGHT...Northeast winds 10 to 15 kt veering to
southeast 5 to 10 kt. Waves 1 to 3 ft subsiding to 1 to 2 ft.
.SUNDAY...Southeast winds 10 to 20 kt increasing to 15 to 25 kt.
Waves 3 to 5 ft building to 4 to 7 ft occasionally to 9 ft.
.SUNDAY NIGHT...Southeast gales to 35 kt. Snow likely in the
evening, then chance of snow and rain overnight. Waves 4 to 7 ft
occasionally to 9 ft building to 6 to 9 ft occasionally to 12 ft.
.MONDAY...Southeast gales to 35 kt. Chance of rain and snow in
the morning, then chance of rain in the afternoon. Waves 7 to
10 ft occasionally to 13 ft.
.MONDAY NIGHT...Southeast winds to 30 kt. Rain. Waves 7 to 10 ft
occasionally to 13 ft subsiding to 6 to 9 ft occasionally to
12 ft.
