Rating: EF-2 Estimated Peak Wind: 115 mph Path Length /statute/: 14.2 miles Path Width /maximum/: 250 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 04/02/2024 Start Time: 05:48 AM CDT Start Location: 3 SE Cynthiana / Vanderburgh County / IN Start Lat/Lon: 38.1488 / -87.6712 End Date: 04/02/2024 End Time: 06:01 AM CDT End Location: 3 SE Elberfeld / Warrick County / IN End Lat/Lon: 38.1232 / -87.4148 Survey Summary: Hundreds of trees were snapped or uprooted. Dozens of outbuildings were damaged or destroyed. Minor to moderate damage to several homes. Electrical power poles were snapped. This path started just south of I-64 along Hwy 65 in far northwest Vanderburgh County. It then tracked east-southeast across Hwy 41 and I-69. Another tornado merged with it a few miles south of Elberfeld in northwest Warrick County and then the tornado dissipated shortly after. Path length was 14.2 miles and max width was 200 yards.
