Fire Weather Planning Forecast For West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
343 AM CDT Tue Apr 24 2018

.DISCUSSION...
Temperatures will be well above normal today across all areas, but the
driest conditions will be found in Southeast New Mexico and the Guadalupe
Mountains and Upper Trans Pecos. Fuel have retreated some but are still
dry and we have opted to issue a Fire Danger Statement for those areas. A
cold front and associated wind shift will move through late tonight and
Wednesday morning bringing windy conditions and much cooler weather Wednesday
afternoon. A few strong storms are also possible tonight especially across
the Permian Basin. Any storms that may develop across the Big Bend or Lower
Trans Pecos will be mostly wet.
