...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT EAST CENTRAL ST. LOUIS
AND NORTHWESTERN LAKE COUNTIES...

At 211 AM CDT, strong thunderstorms were along a line extending from
6 miles north of Basswood Lake, to near Babbitt, and moving east at
30 mph.

Wind gusts up to 30 mph, pea-size hail, heavy downpours, and frequent
cloud to ground lightning can be expected with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Ely, Babbitt, Winton, southern Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness,
Basswood Lake, Fall Lake, Birch Lake, White Iron Lake, Snowbank Lake,
Ensign Lake, Butterfly Lake, Hudson Lake, Kekekabic Lake, Bald Eagle
Lake, Gabbro Lake, Thomas Lake, Ojibway Lake, Farm Lake, Lake Two,
and Disappointment Lake.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Seek shelter immediately inside a building or vehicle until these
storms pass.
