...FIRE WEATHER WATCH FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY EVENING FOR
THE MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY, SANDIA AND MANZANO MOUNTAINS BELOW
SNOWPACK, CENTRAL HIGHLANDS, AND NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS AND PLAINS
DUE TO STRONG WINDS, LOW HUMIDITY AND AN UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE...

.South and southwest winds will strengthen ahead of an
approaching upper level trough on Friday as humidities plummet to
around 10 percent and high temperatures climb around 4 to 14
degrees above normal. The strongest winds look to occur during
late afternoon until sunset.

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
FRIDAY EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Fire
Weather Watch...which is in effect from Friday afternoon through
Friday evening.

* AREA AND TIMING...Middle Rio Grande Valley (Zone 106), Sandia
  and Manzano Mountains (Zone 124), Central Highlands (Zone 125),
  Northeast Highlands (Zone 123), and Northeast Plains (Zone 104)
  Friday from noon until 8 PM MDT.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...South and southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up
  to 40 mph, except up to 45 mph across the northeast.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Bottoming out from 9 to 12 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended..

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the
