.DISCUSSION...
Abundant sunshine across the region has warmed the region into the
60s and lower 70s. Some dry air is present across northern New
York bringing relative humidity values about 30 to 35 percent over
an area encompassing Ogdensburg, Saranac Lake, and Potsdam.
Elsewhere, values are mainly at or above 40 percent. Winds have
made their west to northwest shift. Outside of nighttime
variability, winds will remain so for the next 36 hours at 5 to
10 mph and with gusts up to 15 mph tomorrow afternoon. Good
recovery of relative humidity is expected tonight with fog
potential as well in the river valleys. Tomorrow will feature
lower minimum relative humidity values of 25 to 35 percent
midafternoon alongside abundant sunshine. There are no
anticipated fire weather impacts due to recent wet weather and
only light to breezy northwest winds. Another round of wetting
rain is expected Wednesday.
