...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EASTERN AVOYELLES AND NORTH
CENTRAL ST. LANDRY PARISHES THROUGH 815 PM CDT...

At 749 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Big Cane, or 8 miles west of Bayou Current, moving northeast at 40
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Simmesport, Moreauville, Bordelonville, Bayou Current, Plaucheville,
Big Cane, Goudeau, Dupont, Big Bend, and Hamburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
