Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
621 AM PDT Sun May 5 2024

.DISCUSSION...A low pressure system over SW Idaho will continue
to wrap moisture back across the forecast area today producing wet
conditions across most of the forecast area. A northwest flow will
develop this afternoon and continues through Tuesday. This will
bring another weather system into the region Monday producing more
showers and provide a slight chance of thunderstorms over the
eastern mountains. Showers linger into Tuesday then end as a ridge
of high pressure brings a return of warm dry conditions midweek
onward. Windy westerly winds will develop today and persist
through Tuesday.

***Thunderstorms imply strong gusty winds***
***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
