Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
415 AM MST Wed Apr 24 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Elevated fire weather conditions will exist this afternoon across
the western districts. Breezy to locally windy conditions will be
common during the afternoon and evening hours, with gusts
exceeding 40 mph at times, while MinRHs hover around 10-15%.
Elsewhere, similar dry conditions will be observed but fire risk
should be limited due to wind gusts not being as enhanced. Breezy
to windy conditions will return Thursday, but cooling
temperatures and rising RH levels should limit further fire risk.

...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
