The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA...
  Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD...

* Until 245 AM EDT

* At 233 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located over Wicomico River, moving north at 50
  knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts in excess of 50 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Boaters could easily be thrown overboard
           by suddenly higher wind and waves capsizing their vessel.
           Boats could suffer significant damage in high winds.
