Rip Current Risk:      Low Risk. The risk for rip currents is low, however,
                       life threatening rip currents often occur in the
                       vicinity of the South Padre Island jetties. Remember
                       to swim near a lifeguard.

Lightning Risk:       None.

Ultraviolet Index:     Very High. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses,
                       and use sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher. Remain in
                       shade if possible.

Weather:               Partly sunny in the morning then clearing. Patchy
                       fog early in the morning.

Temperatures:          Low 80s.

Wind:                  Southwest 10 mph, shifting north 15 to 20 mph.

Wave Heights:          1 to 2 feet.

Surf Temperature:      72 degrees.

Bay Temperature:       72 degrees.

Tides:                 A high at 5 O4 am. A low at 11 30 am.
                       A minor high at 4 41 pm. A low at 11 O4 pm.

Outlook:               An elevated risk of life threatening rip
                       currents will return Tuesday and continue
                       through Saturday. Mostly sunny skies and
                       dry conditions can be expected with highs
                       warming from the low 70s Tuesday to the low
                       80s by the weekend.
