Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains
National Weather Service Goodland KS
234 PM MDT Tue Mar 26 2024

With mostly clear skies in place this afternoon, satellite reveals
the extent of snow cover across the area, with little to no
coverage across far western portions and greatest snow cover over
east-northeast portions. Temperatures as of 2 PM MDT (3 PM CDT)
ranged from 30 degrees in Norton to 43 degrees in Wray. Winds were
relatively light out of the northwest.

OUTLOOK... Snow cover is anticipated to continue to impact
temperatures across some locales through at least tomorrow. Low
temperatures in the teens to low-mid 20s with wind chills in the
teens Wednesday morning will give way to afternoon highs in the
middle 40s to middle 50s. The warming/drying trend really sets in
as we head into Thursday, with temperatures climbing into the 60s.
The next system looks to move in around the Sunday-Monday
timeframe, bringing cooler temperatures and perhaps some
precipitation chances to the region for the early part of the
work week.
